Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto are the three Italian regions producing the astonishing sparkling wines included in this selection. We have singled out estates embodying the most peculiar features of their own territory and that succeed in expressing originality while being faithful to the local vines. Here they are: a surprising Gavi, an imperious Franciacorta and a refined Prosecco to make your moments of relaxation more enjoyable. Salute!
Only Libiamo.it can find these wines: a mountain red scented of burnt wood, a joyous, fruit-laden Tuscan red and a brisk Sicilian red that will bring endless enjoyment. If you are brave enough to try them all during the same evening, alongside good courses and close friends, you will have one of the most amazing dinner experiences. Let us know!
The three most different imaginable wines. Three stories of small producers who have chosen the path of excellence. A selection made to tell you about the Italy of the great whites, from North to South. Once again, the indigenous vines are protagonist, together with the producers (sometimes well-known, sometimes less), but always wonderfully apt to convey the scents and tastes of the Bel Paese.
From Piedmont to Sicily, passing through the Marche region, this is a selection of precious wines, proof of the strong commitment to quality by a set of small wineries. An important trio of bottles, characterised by a sparkling wine unique in its genre, a white with a great structure and a red that will not fail to lure you; all perfect companions for an exciting dinner.
Sparkling bubbles are always cheerful. And when they originate from rare indigenous grapes, the party rejoices even more! Tasting these wines will definitely be a thrill, like the relative lands of origin: the Roero, recently named as a World Heritage site; the Lessini mountains, behind Verona, and the Bolognese hills, among the most enchanting country areas in Northern Italy. A previously unseen trio that will not leave you indifferent!
We like challenges. Such as those undertaken by these three producers by committing themselves to protect and revalue ancient indigenous vines that, probably, would have otherwise disappeared. Accordingly, these are wines to be treasured twice: in the mouth, for their exquisite originality, with the heart, for what they represent. They are, most likely, the rarest wines you will have ever enjoyed.
We went to Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Apulia to find these pearls, sourced from three different grape varieties, cultivated in the smallest plots of land, but coming from farther territories. So, let us make room for the sapid Erbaluce, the aromatic Malvasia, of Greek roots, and the fresh Ribolla, from Slovenia. "Foreign" grapes, which have found their vocation in Italy.
Once in a while, the evening to surprise your guests arrives. Creative cooking, music to establish the right atmosphere, refined table decorations... It is a crescendo that calls for these wines to be served and for their stories - about tough people committed to revaluing their own land in spite of any difficulty - to be told. You will impress everybody!
